Tuesday Tidbit

Tidbit:  Conrad Grebel is about details.  Inside our cabinet drawers we like to finish them just like we do the exterior.  This puts the finishing touch on a quality product.  Many manufacturers leave the insides of drawers completely bare.  While that isn’t a bad thing, we simply believe that quality is in the details.  Share with me a fine detail you love about Conrad Grebel.  I’d like to hear from you!

Just for Laughs:  ” I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.” – W.C. Fields
Fun Amish Fact:  Yesterday I was in one of my woodshops visiting with the craftsmen.  The shop’s owner had his 4-year-old following him around because it was around the lunch hour…it was quite adorable!  It reminded me of why Conrad Grebel is unique and original anymore in our mass-produced world.  Because our woodshops are independently owned by the families who make our furniture, they have the opportunity to be close to their loved ones every day.  It’s fun for the kids to be around their dad’s woodshop because there’s always scrap wood to play with – sometimes the kids will make small wood projects with only scrap wood and sandpaper.  It’s also fun for the kids to visit the woodshop to bring their dad a quick snack that is fresh from the oven.  Family and community is what we’re all about.  A great reminder of why we do what we do.
