From the Kitchen of Grandma Edna

My Grandma Edna was an amazing cook. Through her food she brought people together around the table. I have many fond memories of that time and want to pass them on. From the Kitchen of Grandma Edna is a collection of her recipes that are my favorites, and recipes that my wife Tera continues to make for our family, continuing the tradition of bring people together around the table.

Apple Crisp
 
Ingredients:
1/2 c. sugar
tbls. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
tsp. cinnamon
4 c. thinly sliced apples
 
Mix together sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon. Stir in apples. Press into a greased 9x13 pan.
 
Topping:
1 c. quick oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder

 
Mix dry ingredients and stir in melted butter. Put on top of apple mixture. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
Enjoy with vanilla ice cream!
