4 c. sugar
2 c. puree strawberries
1 package Sure Jell
3/4 c. water
6 pint jars or 3 quart jars, with lids and rings
Wash all jars and lids with soapy water. Rinse and let dry.
Wash, stem and quarter strawberries. In a blender, mix 2 cups berries and 4 cups sugar. Mix until blended well. Pour into a bowl or a large liquid measuring cup for easy pouring.
In a saucepan, bring 3/4 cup water and 1 package of Sure Jell to a boil, stir for one minute. Mix the Sure Jell mixture into the strawberry mixture. Stir well. Pour into jars and put on lids and rings. Let filled jars set out on the counter for 24 hours, then serve or freeze.
