Caramel Marshmallows


1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 small bag caramels

1 stick butter or margarine

1 bag large marshmallows

Rice Krispies


A few hours before making, put the bag of marshmallows in the freezer so that they will dip without melting into the hot caramel. 


Melt sweetened condensed milk, butter and caramels together in a saucepan. Stir often and do not boil. While the caramel is melting, set up your dipping area. With a toothpick, dip marshmallows into the caramel, and then roll into the rice krispies. Place on a tray or pan lined with wax or parchment paper to cool. If the sauce get too think, add a little bit of milk to thin it out.
